The F.R.I.E.N.D.S Book Tag

Come join in with my very first book tag creation- inspired by F.R.I.E.N.D.S

I love book tags, and I’ve been seeing a lot of fandom tags out there which got me thinking, who doesn’t love, like or has at least seen F.R.I.E.N.D.S? Once that occurred to me the ideas kept coming. I’ve limited the questions as best I could or we’d be here all day. Feel free to add your own or miss some out, just use the header and link me in @AnAverageLife.org

Have fun!

Organisation queen. How do you organise your books?

I have to go by author, rainbow shelves look beautiful but I just can’t do it. So my shelves are by author- then series-then colour. I also have a shelf for unread and a shelf for classics. On my Kindle I use collections for finished, unread, DNF, and any upcoming readathons I plan to do.

rachel

RACHEL A book you read for the hype:

CARAVAL

Shopping addict. What makes you buy a book?

Aside from my many auto-buy authors, one auto-buy publisher and books found via bloggers? I search by genre, then look at the cover, read the blurb and check a few reviews before purchasing.

rossgeller

ROSS A science fiction book:

OTHERWORLD

On a break. Which books have you put down to pick back up later?

I’m very VERY slowly making my way through Jane Austen’s collection. I’m having to do it by audiobook as the physical copies just cannot keep my attention. It’s something I feel I really must read but I’m not exactly enamoured.

chandler

CHANDLER A book that made you laugh out loud.

BRIDGET JONES DIARIES

That time at Space Mountain. Are there any books you’re embarrassed to admit you’ve read?

Confession time… I read Fifty Shades Of Grey. I know, I know it is AWFUL but I just had to see what suddenly had the entire world talking about this book. I only read the first one, and I was sooooo irritated, I’m sure I don’t need to explain.

joey

JOEY A scary book you’d keep in the freezer:

THE DARK

James Herbert The Dark

V is for Encyclopedia. As an adult, have you read any books with words you had to look up to understand?

Yoked. That’s always the first word that comes to mind. It popped up again and again in ‘The Hunger’ by Alma Katsu, and since then I’ve read it in a few other books too.

phoebe

PHOEBE A book with a spiritual or supernatural theme:

OCEAN AT THE END OF THE LANE

The boycott. Are there any authors, booksellers or publishers you refuse to support?

I actually can’t think of an answer to this question! I’m just interested to see yours..

janice

JANICE A book with an OH MY GOD twist:

BONUS QUESTION:

Which F.R.I.E.N.D.S character do you most identify with?

I see a little piece of myself in most of these characters. I guess that’s why this show is a never ending hit, we can all relate to several- if not all of the characters.
I have Monica’s organisation, Rachel’s damsel in distress appearance, Chandler’s social awkwardness, Joey’s need for people pleasing, Ross’ caring streak (don’t @ me) and a touch of Phoebe’s quirkiness.
